Qigong (Chi Gung) is a powerful practice that will help you feel, move and transmit Qi (energy). In this workshop, you will learn the five exercises:
  • "Empty Force” which increases your sensitivity to qi, assists your endurance, and facilitates gathering qi to the three dantians (energy centers); in your belly, chest, and head.
  • "Cloud Hands" is designed to strengthen the lungs and upper body while releasing and aligning the tissues of the shoulders and shoulder girdle, and improving the flow of qi between the hands and the core.
  • "Earth Hands" is designed to strengthen the breath, lower body, hips, legs and pelvic organs.
  • "Around the World" enhances respiration, digestion, elimination, and deeply massages all of the internal organs.
  • "Push Hands" trains the mind to externalize qi, moving it from one hand to the other.
Through practice, these exercises can help enhance your energy, remove stress, and improve your health. The workshop will start with a warm up and end with a closing sequence.  This workshop will help build a foundation to support your health and well-being.

Workshop instructor Bob Lehnberg was introduced to qigong in 1986 by Dr. Jay Dunbar and has since studied with many qigong instructors throughout the US.  He has been teaching qigong since 2000.  He is a certified Integral Yoga instructor and is a Body-Mind Centering® practitioner and co-founder of the Kinesthetic Learning Center.
